Courtesy Meeting with Ministry of Cult and Religion

On August 13, 2024, Mr. Hong Raksmey, Country Director and representatives of Save the Children Australia, paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency Chay Borin, Minister of Cults and Religions, along with other senior leaders

During the meeting, Mr. Raksmey highlighted key areas of ongoing cooperation, including initiatives on positive parenting through the Remote Positive Parenting Project, religious psychological education, and efforts to strengthen pagodas as centres for social protection and disaster response planning. 

His Excellency Chay Borin responded positively, expressing strong support for these initiatives and extending his gratitude to Save the Children for its dedicated efforts to improve the lives of Cambodian children.

The Minister also took the opportunity to personally thank Mr. Thomas Waite and Mr. Julian Lbarguen, representatives of Save the Children Australia, for their active participation and unwavering commitment to securing resources and promoting the successful implementation of projects aimed at benefiting Cambodian children.
