Participation and Accountability

At Save the Children in Cambodia we empower children and youth to participate in commune development, including advocacy for increased budget investments, and capacity building of civil society actors to promote and defend children's rights.

PROGRAMME GOAL

Children and youth, including most deprived, meaningfully participate in decision-making that affects their rights and improves accountability of government.

 

OBJECTIVES

Implement and documentchild participation models that promote accountability of local government and service delivery.

The application of SCI-Child Rights Report (common approach) integrated and strengthenedin SCI program including, Humanitarian and Emergency response

Sub national decision making processes (planning and budgeting) that include child participation will be documented and sharednationally for improved practice and policy. 

Child participation is included in national decision making for new policies and increased budgets.

Children and Youth are empowered to monitor, voice and advocate for their rights.

Best practice of CCSA and CRR is replicated by other NGOs/networks.

Child participation policies, guideline of government implementation strengthened.

Engagement and coordinationbetween SCI and NGO partners to advocate for children's rights, particularly their right to participation both in policies/guideline and practice strengthened.
